Adult Acting courses

   Set Training & Acting course II
    Intermediate

Prerequisite: Students must audition or have taken and passed Set Training & Acting Course I (Audition MUST be in by Monday, April 24th)

Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Cost: $500 or $65/wk + $25 Registration

 

Classes begin May 5th

This course is for students who’ve taken the Set Training I class and for working actors who are having trouble booking. During the 8-week session, students will learn audition prep techniques to help them make bold and creative choices.

 

Lessons Learned

 

Scene Study: Students will analyze a scene by asking specific questions to help them understand the context and subtext and identify beat changes in a scene.

 

Vocal Expression: Students will learn techniques that will help create vocal variety.

 

Physical Expression: Students will learn how to listen and react with their bodies when they have dialogue and when there is no dialogue. They will learn how to make bold and creative choices with their bodies that will help express their characters' feelings.

 

Improv Techniques: Students will understand the importance of improv and when to use it by participating in fun and creative improv exercises that will help our students to create scenes that will help them to think outside the box.

 

Audition Prep & On-Camera Training: Students will learn the purpose of an audition, techniques that will alleviate anxiety, how to prepare for an audition, learn what casting expects from auditioners and perform on camera with the instructor’s critiques.
